John is rooted deep in Bluegrass music from the likes of Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs. His love for "old school" Bluegrass, as well as modern sounds from many genres, from Monroe to Dylan to Sting, brings a insightful bend to this rockin' band. His self titled CD, "I Forgot To Remember," which included many of Nashville's greats like the late fiddle Zen master, Vassar Clements, has received rave reviews all over the country. When not playing with Harp and the boys, or his own band, "John Tomlin & Co.," he can be found making music with various bands including Grassers, The High Rollers and HotStrAngs, Americana artist Julie Gribble, and IBMA Hall of Famer and living legend Curly Seckler, all around the globe.
